The Strangest of Behaviors
Who behaves such as this at the loss of a loved one?
Jessie Czebotar was gaining a lot of momentum in her ministry and the promotion of her story as an SRA survivor. That is until October 11, 2021 when her 17 year old son Josiah was killed in a car accident. While the details of the accident were never released (along with his OB) it was a stunning piece of tragic news and caused many of her critics, myself included, to back off of our coverage of her to give her time to grieve.
However, Jessie never missed a beat. She returned to her regular routine of giving interviews in just over a week. I realize everyone deals with grief in their own way. But with Jessie, she made such a rapid return, many were quite surprised. That included her friends at the various online channels she appears on as well.
So imagine that your child has perished in a tragic accident. You are in shock, traumatized, and stricken with grief at this unimaginable event. And then 8 days later you appear on a video channel such as Jessie did at Aquarius Rising with hosts Chantelle and Morne and begin reminiscing about her son in an odd, gleeful manner.
The following clip begins somber and as Jessie starts telling stories about Josiah and all of the charming things he was involved in, it turns into a laughfest. I have never seen anything like it before. At one point it almost gets out of control with Jessie jokingly referring to her son as a transgender. As I have said, people have different ways of expressing and dealing with their grief, but this is the strangest approach I have ever seen. I could never do this and I have been acquainted with losing a family member in an accident. It hits you by surprise and you can feel overwhelmed for weeks. In this clip she behaves as if her son is not dead and nearly living in another country.
In Closing
One particular thing discovered at nearly the same time was that Josiah was not living with Jessie at the time. He was living with friends. We also discovered that her other minor kids were living with families at the Bethel Baptist church. It was a shocking thing to learn and details of this were never fully known. She was traveling to her workshops so the kids needed to be placed somewhere and it wouldn’t be with family. It is unknown where the children are at now. The children were placed with her ex-husband Jacob but were not. For a woman who promotes herself at saving children from the evil of this world, it’s odd she is often not there to care for her own.
It should be noted that Josiah’s father Jacob penned a loving tribute to his son on his Facebook page. I won’t post it here. You can look it up for yourself. It’s real. It’s heartfelt and it’s leagues away from the smugness of Jessie’s inappropriate Laugh-A-Thon.
