Felix Rodriguez had a storied career in the CIA. Rodriguez was all over the place in operations in the 1960s and the 1970s. Everything from JM/WAVE to Iran/Contra. He was in Cuba for the Bay of Pigs operation and got out alive. He served in Vietnam where he survived 5 helicopter crashes. Later on in his years in intelligence operations, there were numerous death threats and at least one abduction attempt.
He has been very well known for his involvement with Che Guevara after his capture in Bolivia. He met and spoke with Che as he negotiated with various governments and militaries to keep him alive for interrogation. All efforts failed and Guevara was executed.
It was an amazing interview with lots of facts about the various missions and the consequences of them that Rodriguez participated in. All went well until the retired CIA man said the following when discussing the JFK assassination, which in his view was orchestrated by Cuba.

“Great yes remember, Oswald was in the Cuban embassy for several hours before he went to Dallas, that day.”
Apparently Rodriguez is confused. Perhaps he was referring to Oswald’s September trip to Mexico City where he entered the Cuban embassy seeking a visa for a peculiar scheme to travel back to Russia. His request was denied. It’s a strange episode in Oswald’s life and jokingly referred to as “Oswald’s Magical Mystery Tour.” It’s still unclear what was going on but it’s well documented that on the day of the assassination, Oswald was at work in the Texas Schoolbook Depository building arriving at 7:55 AM with coworker Wesley Fraser who drove them there. There wasn’t enough time for him to arrive at the Cuban embassy on the 22nd.

also have the fact that with no question about it that Fabian Escalante was there and then Cuba denied at the beginning that…
Rodriguez is referring to General Fabian Escalante Font, a Cuban Security Official as the actual shooter of the president Kennedy. Font on the other hand, on a Cuban television documentary on November 26, 1993, named a group of American mobsters and two Cubans as the gunmen—Lenny Patrick, David Yaras, Richard Cainand, Herminio Diaz Garcia and Eladio del Valle. None of these allegations against these men has ever been proven as being involved in the assassination of John F. Kennedy.
The General was the founder of Cuba’s intelligent services. It’s highly unlikely he would be a shooter in Dallas. He’s a management man. He would hire other men to do the “wet work.”
I know of no assassination researcher that believes General Fabian Escalante Font was on the streets of Dallas in November of 1963.

he was ever in the Cuban Embassy later on when they learned that we as CIA we had pictures a movie of him getting into

our Embassy then they said that they went into a very distinct uh check and

they found out that indeed yes Oswald was in the Cuban Embassy and they claimed that he came in there to get a Cuban

visa and he was denied but I do believe that it was a participation of Cuban the

assassination of the president and later on one assistant of of President Johnson said that they knew about it but for

security consideration they denied to the public the participation of Cuba and the assassination of the president
Rodriguez’s confusion continues with these last statements regarding the assassination. While true, there were surveillance cameras watching the Cuban and Soviet embassies in Mexico City, there were no pictures of Oswald were ever released.
Rodriguez is correct that Oswald’s visit to the Cuban embassy was well known in the inner circles of Intelligence but kept secret for many years. It was not investigated by the Warren Commission at all but was later during the HSCA hearings.
Finally, Tucker Carlson asked Felix Rodriguez if the CIA was involved in any way in the Kennedy assassination. He simply said no.
Of course one can’t expect a CIA company man to pin the crime of his own but two retired CIA agents, Larry Johnson & Ray McGovern speaking at Judging Freedom, both agree that Lee Oswald did not assassinate John F. Kennedy and the CIA was to blame. So you see, it does happen, but it’s rare.
The interview is worth listening to even though much of Felix Rodriguez’s work in other clandestine operations was not covered, such as Iran Contra. Maybe more will be revealed as he recently did a 3+ hour interview at Koncrete Podcast.
